We offer a complete service for clearing an existing kitchen before a new one is fitted. The work covers appliance disconnection, removal of cabinetry, worktops and sinks, followed by responsible disposal of the materials. Where possible, suitable items are sorted for recycling. Any necessary preparation is carried out so the area is ready for installation. 
Getting the services into the correct positions is an important part of our kitchen preparation process. We coordinate plumbing for sinks and dishwashers, waste pipe positioning, electrical socket relocation and extraction requirements before installation. Gas supply points can also be repositioned when necessary, while detailed site plans identify service routes for the fitting team. 
Our approach begins with assessing the walls after the existing kitchen has been removed. Any areas requiring attention are repaired through patching, skimming, rendering or levelling, while damp treatment and moisture barriers are applied where required. Prepared surfaces are also primed and sealed, and we proceed only when they are level, dry and structurally sound. 
Our approach to kitchen cabinet installation focuses on accurate fitting and careful finishing. We work with units from all major brands, including Wren, IKEA, Howdens and Magnet, together with bespoke manufacturers. Adjustable legs and suitable packing allow us to achieve a level installation despite imperfections, while detailed alignment ensures doors and drawers open and close correctly. 
We provide complete worktop fitting, including site measurement and templating, cutting, profiling, and the preparation of sink and hob apertures. Depending on the selected material, we finish joints with colour-matched resin or proprietary joining strips. Upstands, splashback panels, and silicone sealing to walls and sinks can also form part of the installation, ensuring a clean and properly finished result. 
Our appliance installation service covers a wide range of kitchen appliances, from ovens and hobs to dishwashers, washing machines, fridge-freezers and extractor hoods. We carry out fitting and connections in accordance with manufacturer requirements and current regulations. Once installation is complete, each appliance is tested thoroughly, with basic operating guidance provided before we leave. 
We provide complete sink and tap plumbing connections for kitchens, covering hot and cold water supplies, waste traps and drain connections. Our service includes sink installation, worktop sealing, mixer and filter tap fitting, and boiling water tap installation. We use quality fittings throughout and test every connection thoroughly for leaks before completion. 
We undertake kitchen tiling and splashback work for projects where a complete kitchen installation is unnecessary. Customers may retain their existing cabinets and worktop while we install ceramic, porcelain, metro or large-format tiles, or a glass or acrylic splashback. We were not able to find a company capable not only install our Wren kitchen, but do the rest as well - tiling, decorating, removing the old kitchen, appliance connections etc. We chose Urban Kitchens to manage the entire renovation of our kitchen space. They also repainte the walls and replaced the engineered flooring. Everything was organised, completed on schedule and finished to a very high standard.

We purchased our IKEA kitchen in 2025 and it wasnt the easiest to install. Main reason is uneven walls in our victorian house and a few last-minute design changes. But Urban Kitchens team and specifically Anjey & Jacub (sorry if I misspell their names) handled everything professionally. They ensured every cabinet and panel lined up perfectly. I am really happy with the final look of my kitchen and highly recommend Urban Kitchens for Ikea kitchen installations.
