WARNING - AVOID DIR STORE AT ALL COSTS!

Ive genuinely never experienced customer service this appalling.

After spending nearly 2,000, I was promised delivery on a Friday, only to be told days later by the SAME MAN that my order would actually take another 16 weeks.

I cancelled immediately. When I politely requested written confirmation, I was told, I DONT NEED TO SEND YOU AN EMAIL, YOU STUPID GIRL, before he hung up on me.

What followed was almost THREE MONTHS of chasing my refund, repeated hang-ups, unanswered messages and eventually having my number blocked. I had to pursue a formal dispute to recover my money.

The icing on the cake? After I left a Google review, DIR Store responded almost immediately, suggesting I was at fault for initiating a dispute. My order tracking STILL showed processing three months later!

Theyve now suddenly started calling both my personal and business numbers. Funny how they couldnt communicate with me when I was desperately trying to recover my money!

Being called a stupid girl, repeatedly hung up on and blocked is not simply being dissatisfied with a delivery delay.

Absolutely disgraceful. I wouldnt trust this company with another penny. PLEASE THINK TWICE BEFORE ORDERING!

Extremely disappointing experience with DIR

I placed my order with DIR in May 2026, and I was initially promised a delivery timeframe of 34 months.

After waiting the full four months, I contacted them for an update and was told the chairs would arrive by the end of August. August came and went with no delivery.

I contacted them again and was then told the delivery would be in September. Again, nothing happened.

In the middle of September, I contacted them once more and was told the chairs would arrive by the end of September. I called again today, and now Im being told they are still waiting for their container to arrive and that there is no confirmed delivery date.

I have now been waiting approximately 6 months for my chairs, despite being given several different delivery dates. This has had a significant impact on my business, as my barbershop has remained closed and I have already lost around 2 months of trading because of the delay.

What makes the situation even more frustrating is the rude and unprofessional customer service I have experienced when trying to get straightforward updates about an order I have already paid for.

I understand that shipping and supply issues can happen, but repeatedly giving customers delivery dates that are not met, without providing clear and proactive communication, is not acceptable.

Based on my experience, I would not recommend DIR. If you are considering ordering barber chairs from them, I would strongly recommend doing your research and considering a more reliable supplier, even if it means spending a little more.

Six months of waiting, multiple promised delivery dates, and still no confirmed delivery date. Very disappointing.

The staff are rude, the customer service is poor, the store is disorganised, and they take no accountability for their mistakes. Instead of resolving problems professionally, they leave customers frustrated and disappointed.

I would not recommend this store to anyone.

They provided a very good service when I came to the showroom. Great thanks to both Alex and Adam who gave me wonderful insight on the chairs they had.

We ordered the chair actually for a first aid room so to help people relax and be calm and at the same time give us easier access to damaged legs etc without having them causing themselves pain. Chair is great

Bought the anon backwash in 2020 from DIR. have had an issue with the waste past couple months, called them and have agreed to send a new one out as a good will gesture out. Highly recommended

We traveled from Reading to pick up some items and had the chance to visit the showroom. The products looked even better in person than they did on the website. Overall, it was a great experience, and were very happy with our purchase!

This is the second time purchasing salon furniture and equipment. The first was during Covid. Ali was fabulous and although they were all super busy delivering at this time as many salon owners took this time out of work to refit salons, he was always an amazing communicator and always answered to any queries I had! There is nowhere else I would go to for any of my salon needs. Ali is amazing and so are the rest of the team! Thank you DIR you guys are FABULOUS

I brought a backwash just over two years ago now and the support Ive had from the company if a part has damaged over time / ware and tare has been second to non and replaced straight away and sent out in the post. Great service. Very grateful, thank you so much.

Finally! Furniture seems to be very good quality, hence 4 stars. However excuse after excuse was made about delivery times (told 2 weeks and arrived after 8 weeks!) - it took lots of phone calls to get an actual answer and exact delivery date. If you are planning to order from the company gives yourself plenty of time! Sarah H
