Exhibitions In June & July 2006, I was involved in a small team responsible for the setting up of an exhibition for displaying the final years work of my university course. The exhibitions took place at BCUC & The Business Design Centre, Islington, London respectively. I took the role of team leader meaning general organisation, setting and managing objectives, task delegation and problem solving were key skills. The team had a limited budget and we were required to source sponsorship, we also had to design our stands theme and layout, ensuring that all those involved displayed their work in a way that benefited them as individuals, as well as the group as a whole. The two exhibitions were successes, where a large percentage of those involved received private commissions or offers of employment. Interests, Achievements & Skills Football, Rugby and Athletics receiving School Colours and representing the County in all three Captained the School Football and Athletics teams as well as my Sunday League Football Team A keen interest in art and music including visiting concerts, festivals and galleries BCUC Climbing Club whilst at university Computer literate and experienced in the following programs; Auto CAD 2005, 3D Studio Max 6, Adobe Photoshop 7, Microsoft Office, as well as being a fast learner of new software. | Educational details: | 2003-2006 Buckinghamshire Chilterns University College (BCUC) BA (Hons) Furniture Design & Craftsmanship (2.2). Course involved design and manufacturing modules leading to a dissertation based upon how a crafts business is created and sustained. An extensive business based module was completed in my final year enabling me to gain valuable knowledge in running a small business. Each project involved a full process of designing, planning, sourcing materials, constructing the piece, marketing and finally presenting it in an exhibition. 2002-2003 Kent Institute for Art & Design (KIAD) BTEC National Diploma Three Dimensional Design (Merit). Direct entry to the 2nd year. Course involved multiple areas of design, including furniture, product, sculpture, interiors & architecture, set & stage design, as well as a course on computer design and animation using Apple MACs 1995-2002 Chatham Grammar School for Boys 3 A2 Levels (A-E), 5 AS Levels (A-E), 11 GCSEs (A-C) including Design & Technology, Product & Resistant Materials Design & Graphics at all levels. |
