We have been successfully serving our local community for over 160 years and created a reputation for quality and value for money. From this website we can bring our offer, customer service and value for money to a wider audience. When you order on our website your order will not be left to a computer to fulfil it will be handed direct to a salesperson at the store who will contact you personally to discuss your order and lead you through the process from order to dispatch of the goods.

20% Deposit
Unlike many other companies we only ask you to pay a deposit of 20% of your order value on placing your order on line. The balance will not become payable until the goods are in stock and you are ready for delivery. These are the same terms we offer in our stores.

We go to great lengths to ensure that everything we sell is of the highest quality and all our furniture is guaranteed for 2 years from the date of delivery. Obviously, fair wear and tear is excluded but should there be any manufacturing defects in that 2 year period we guarantee we will repair the product or if we are unable to repair it will replace it free of charge.

Of course for that extra piece of mind you can also invest in our Guardsman 5 year protection plan. Guardsman's 5 year cover lets you relax and enjoy your new investment, with our fabric cover any spills will be taken care of and if you purchase a leather sofa you will get the additional cover against rips, tears, burns or scratches.

Expert Delivery

When the furniture comes into our warehouse you will be contacted by our logistics department to arrange a suitable date for delivery, we will wherever possible try to arrange a delivery for am or pm. When you have arranged the delivery you will be asked to pay any outstanding balance on your order; all this maybe done over the phone. Please note we are only able to deliver goods to the address that your credit or debit card is registered at. If delivery to another address is required then please enquire with the store for different payment methods.

If you live within 50 miles of the store we will not charge for the delivery service and we will for a small charge remove the old furniture you are replacing (please phone the store for details). Over 50 miles the delivery charge will have been included in your order; unfortunately we can not remove your old furniture. In most cases delivery will be by one of our own delivery vehicles.

The delivery drivers will phone you approximately 30 minutes prior to arrival at your home. At your home our delivery team will assess where the goods are going and put down blankets and protective covering where necessary. The goods will be delivered into your home put in position, assembled and unwrapped.

All the wrappings will be removed and taken away for recycling. On the odd occasion we are unable to deliver the goods because the access is poor we will return the goods to our warehouse and arrange a re delivery once the necessary steps have been taken to allow access i.e. doors removed or windows removed.

There may be a small charge if there was a delivery charge on the original order but this will be discussed with you. Unfortunately we are unable to remove doors and windows on your behalf. Once in place you will be asked to inspect the furniture and sign to confirm it is in good condition. The invoice and any Guardsman certificates will be left with you. You are ready to start enjoying your new purchase!

What a superb service my friend and I received from Anna at the Leeds store I was looking for a single sofa and ended up with a suite. My friend, with no intention of purchasing initially, bought one too. All this under the guidance of Anna - so knowledgeable about the stock, a friendly personality - no pressured sales pitch - and the patient of a saint! A visit to the store is highly recommended, a vast array of home furnishings over a range of prices - and it has it's own car park!

We were delighted by the range of leather sofas on offer and by the service offered by Richard.
We wanted a three seater sofa which would be supportive and comfortable after I had experienced a back injury and was finding sitting on our current sofa difficult.
The sofa had to match our existing two seater sofa.
Richard took the time to point out which sofas would suit our needs and match our current sofa.
We're looking forward to taking delivery in September.

Anna was so helpful from start to finish - we couldn't have asked for better service. By the time we visited Pratts on Sunday 2nd June, we had been to three other furniture stores to look at new sofas and it had all got a bit confusing by that point! I knew what I wanted but hadn't seen it in any of the other stores and to be honest I was a little reluctant to visit Pratts and add further confusion. What I liked about Pratts was we didn't feel 'hounded' or 'pressured' at all - we browsed the store and Anna was right to us when we had questions. We spent 1.5 hours in the store on Sunday and found our ideal sofa after lots of questions from us - the service was second to none and I will definitely be recommending to other friends and family, even though it turns out Anna also recently sold a sofa to my mother in law and Auntie! Thanks so much for the incredible service!

I order a 2 seater sofa on the 12th February and have been chasing this up for the last three weeks. I was informed 10 days ago that iit had arrived and the warehouse would be in touch. I rung yet again today and was informed that it definitely had arrived and if they gave me the warehouse telephone number I could sort it out myself. I don't think it was up to me to be having to do this. I subsequently rung the warehouse and have been informed that it won't be delivered now until the 17th May as I have missed the slot for Barwick in Elmet. It is only the 9th May. This will be almost 15 weeks from order and I find this totally unacceptable. I wonder what would have happened if I hadn't rung today.

We have been into store today and as we was looking around the great sales person named Anna approached us and was just asking the usual sales questions for example what we was looking for? Anna Explained everything to full ability and once we decided on what we wanted Anna the brought sample books to match our decor at home for the cushions after choosing our furniture. Once we had agreed on the furniture we liked Anna then explained how to care for our furniture show us examples how to look after our cushions. Anna also was putting a rota together for us to take in turns of doing the weekly cleaning and care for the sofas. She has also explained everything about the delivery process and she offered us a lovely drink and biscuits. Anna has made our day and the process of buying furniture a breeze. Also has offered us to call in when passing for a coffee. Anna is such a great sales person she can sell anything with no trouble.

Called in to view a sofa I had seen on line but found it wasn't quite to my liking, however with so much to look at and sit on in the Leeds store it wasn't long before I found myself getting confused with such choice. On initial arrival in store I was greeted by Richard Sanderson who remained on hand (unobtrusively) to answer any questions whilst I reviewed my choices. Richard was extremely patient and very very knowledgeable, after 3 hours plus and a second visit, I was able to make my choice once again ably assisted by Richard. Its probably the first sofa I have ever bought (and I've had a few) whereby I feel like I know something about its origin, design, build and quality, this alongside the excellent guarantees offered by C.Pratts make me believe I have made a good purchase. Expert knowledge is always on hand, our sales team are fully trained, visiting our manufacturers to see craftsmen and women at work, learning how furniture is made so they can give you the best advice. Our service includes our very own delightful team of drivers, who will deliver your furniture with care and expertise. Once they have positioned your furniture where you want it, they will unwrap, assemble and take the packaging away for recycling. We then met paul who again went the extra mile to help, were given 5* service and found just what we were after so bought the suite from him.


The ercol design studio is a strong in-house pool of design talent, whilst we also commission both well-renowned and upcoming external designers to work with us on projects. In line with the latest Government guidance we have been instructed to temporarily close our store until the situation is reviewed. Although our doors are closed, we are still here for you! We have a small number of our expert sales team working in the store. They will ensure all orders taken over the past few months are progressed with our factories and will be ready to contact customers when their furniture arrives into stock.
